I've read a book. That's actually not a weird thing, I read books all the time. Most of them are about dragons (The Inheritance Cycle) or about bastards who use there special powers to murder the enemies of the king (The Gaseer Trilogy) And I could go on but I think you get the point. I looooove fantasy! 

But I also love girls who rock! Like Sophia Amoruso. 

Just for the people who read this and don't know who she is (shame on you, lol jk) She is 'the founder, CEO, and creative director of Nasty Gal, a $100 million plus online fashion retailer with more than 350 employees.' (Thanks google!) And she is awesome! 

I really liked her book. (a lot more than Alexa Chung's book 'It') In her book Sophia writes about her life and how she got where she is now. But she also gives great tips about how to become a #GIRLBOSS, about how to get a job, how to start your own business, etc. I found the book really inspiring and I definitely felt like she was talking to me. Because at my best moments I consider myself a #GIRLBOSS. The only negative thing I have to say about it, is that because she isn't telling her story in a chronological way. I felt like like she was repeating herself sometimes. Other than that I really enjoyed reading it and I would definitely recommend it!

Last week I went to the Fashion Clash Festival in Maastricht. I've been there before (two years ago, you can even read about that here and here). And even though it was small back then, I really liked it. Last year I couldn't go, but this year I heard about it just on time. So my friend and I decided to go. 

We went on saturday and when we got there around 2 o'clock there was nothing. Apparently they weren't open until 4 o'clock. Which I think is really stupid, saturday is the most busy day for a city like Maastricht. Unfortunately this wasn't the only thing I thought was disappointing. Two years ago they had a market where they sold designer pieces and vintage. This year the only things I went to were the concept store in the city. Which was 'ok' but not really inspiring. And we went tot the market where they sold clothing from young designers. I really did not like it there. The designers all looked sooo bored and made my feel super uncomfortable. They looked at me as if they knew I wasn't going to buy anything, and I knew I wasn't buying anything. So I kind of stayed away from what they sold.

The free exhibition was really small. But I guess that's what you get when you go to a free exhibition. It was inspiring though. So not really a disappointment but still. The pictures below are all from the exhibition. We also went to one of the shows. It was the Graduation Fashion Design MAFAD show. They showed the collection of 4 graduated student from the art academy in Maastricht, Milou van Esch, Dusty Thomas, Gelena Roizen and Lara Beckmann. This was actually pretty cool, I tried to make some pictures but they all turned out blurry but you can see them on the fashion clash website.

Eventually I had a great day with Roxanne, but I am not sure if I will attend the Fashion Clash Festival event again. Maybe if I have a nice person to go with and nothing else to do that weekend.

Hej I've got some new shoes! And I think there so beautifully white that I don't want to wear them because I think I am going to screw them up!
I went to Utrecht with my boyfriend. Because they gave me a day off at my internship and we wanted to go to Utrecht for a while. I think that the Adiddas store was the second store we went. And when I saw that these were on sale well I just knew I had to had them. I think I have reblogged the black and white version about a billion times on tumblr. And even though I wanted to save for a pair of all white nike air max (look how beautiful they are here, here, here) They are just sooo expensive! I am just really happy I bought these eventually!

Quite often I find myself on other blogs. You might say too often, but anyway that is not the point. And every now and then I want to read more of them, so I hunt through the interwebs looking for some new inspirational blog's to follow. But as we all know there is a lot of crap in the world of the interwebs. So during that hunt I often think, I can do this like a thousand times better. (Yeah I know, I'm very humble) So I keep asking myself why aren't you blogging if you can do this so much better?! 

Well the truth is, it is harder than it looks! You have to put a lot of energy into a (good) blog, and we all know I am the laziest! You got to have a lot of inspiration. I mean you got to keep the people that read your blog interested. And give them a reason to keep coming back. That's not really happing here is it. I only blog like ones every two months, and the things I write are only interesting for me to read. That works for some blog's of course, but not really for mine. 

So Michelle what are you going to do about this mess you have created? I have no clue! I am not gonna make any promises, because if you don't make any there are no expectations. (win for me, not really for anyone els) But I really really really want to try again, (maybe a new layout will help, maybe not) I just really need to figure out what I want this to go. I mean, I have enough time next to my internship, so that's no excuse. I even get mad at myself because I feel so bored (but like all the time!) I should get a hobby that takes some of my spare time away, but not to much. (blogging?) And a hobby that doesn't cost any money. (or what about blogging!) And I can put all that urge to do something creative (blogging!!!!!1!) 

So I guess this means here is to a sort of start to a sort of new beginning, that I am not promising of course! Because that would create expectations. Oh well at least I got nice new haircut and a nice button in the time I was away.
